Evening all,
I hope you're all well?
I've started to strip the front end of the seven down and I need some help identifying donor parts so I can buy new bearing and the like.
Can anyone tell me what the bottom ball joints are from, what the calipers are off, and therefore what discs are the likely to be? also, what uprights
are they? please help!
Thanks in advance,
Chris
all looks like sierra to me, vented discs etc. Not entirely sure about the balljoint.
Nah, not Sierra, it's a five stud hub. Granada?

As the uprights are 5 stud , maybe Granada based, hubs and brakes
Cheers

Any ideas about the ball joints? I've searched ebay and I cant find anything that even looks similar.
Thanks for all your replies so far.
Chris
oops, my blind! I counted 4, honest!
Is it possible that the ball joints have been modified? Thinking that maybe they are the book, five bolt Cortina type, with the outer two bolt
mounting points cut off, to make them fit the wishbones.

Just to throw a spanner in the works those could still be Sierra uprights, but from the P100 pick up !!!!
But I'd still opt for Granada as there is a cover plate on the upright that looks like a ABS sensor once lived there, as for brake pads, they
look to have been genuine ford items, if so you could still read the "finis" code on them as it looks to be visible.

They look like calipers off a Scorpio 2.9 with casting numbers 889 and 890 (look next to the hose inlet by the fins). If so, they work with 260mm diameter 24mm thick 47mm high vented discs.
I wouls say granada upright, caliper and disk combe as the plate in the top photo is to cover the ABS sensor possibly.
