is there any available? the standard items are very heavy and one of mine is binding quite badly and i cant find out where?
and are they available with bearings pressed and caliper mounting brackets attatched? sierra items obviously! cheers
Hello Daniel
My new bearings bound for the first 50 miles, this is not unusual and does not seem to have any long term affects.
I stuck my carrier in a lathe and shed weight this way, I believe westfield make alloy carriers as do others but really expensive.

The drum baked bearing carrier is much lighter weight, and you can use a simple adapter plate for mounting the disks with these.
I suppose this would mean changing the driveshafts to tripode on the outer end, so probably more work than you want.
Or you can do what I did and have the disc bearing carrier machined down to fit the Wilwood Powerlite 240mm disc handbrake kit.
Or you could buy a pair of low mileage good condition disc type bearing carriers of me! U2U me if your interested mate.
or at the risk of doing myself oput of a sale here is what im replacing them with, there very light!

You just need to add a caliper mounting bracket
