Anyone have an old Wilwood master cylinder
tasmod - 3/4/12 at 08:17 AM

After doing some brake mods I stupidly picked up a steel rule only meant as a straight edge, it had 15mm cut from end. I used this to measure off the steel pushrod from a single master cylinder in a bias bar setup. Result is it now only just fits, not a situation I'm happy with.
I need a pushrod, but these seem to be like hens teeth, nobody lists them, they require me to buy a new 7/8ths cylinder.

Anyone have an old useless cylinder with a pushrod spare?

Whilst doing the brake mods I've also discovered I need a residual pressure valve for the front discs.

Don't you just love making changes and discovering new niggles?

Years ago i made a push rod by grinding down a bolt. Stick the bolt in the end of an electric dril and grind it down against a bench grinder or flap wheel in an angle grinder.

Thanks guys. As i'm ordering a brake valve from RD I might as well get a new pushrod for that price.

Gives me a new job to do. Insert brake valve in front disc line and whilst I'm at it fit the braided hoses I've had for a while. Must remember to fit valve after the brake switch, else I'll have lights on all time

Basically this is turning into a front brake overhaul
