wind up the platforms

do the coils have to be held back by anything tho

would this not cause more tension in the coils?

cheers

if you jack up your car the wheels will drop or droop, when you wind up the platforms you are reducing the amount of droop, by winding up the platforms you will lift the car unless you have realy soft springs, if thats the case the springs will just compress, but if your springs are that soft the shocks would compress and not rebound.

hi viper

do i need some kind of special tool to wind up the platforms? they seem to be a strange shape.

i bought the car second hand with the avo shocks already on, didnt get anything else for them,

with the car on the floor you will need a "C" spanner try jacking the car up, without weight on the wheels you might be able to wind em by hand.

wats a c spanner then?

will i be able to buy one anywhere?

cheers

its a spanner in the shape of a c with a hook on the end, you will need the correct size as with any spanner but you can get adjustable c spanners
