What gearbox are you running

Ben_Copeland - 4/7/12 at 10:02 PM

Depends on what your doing with it etc.

Its should be ok for the road.

it has the ford type 9 box
mainly road and track the best all round or the better acceleration one

Jamster1233 - 4/7/12 at 10:23 PM

i mean the ratios

Pop the diff out and count the teeth on the crown wheel and pinion, then divide the two. HTH

which one is the most ideal ratio to have for the decent bhp on the dyno map ?
4.44
4.125
3.88
3.777
3.54

Tyre size may also have an effect on the overall ratio.

Could still do with an idea for the best all rounder ratio for the live axle
Cheers guys

BHP will remain the same no matter what final drive you have. The different options will effect the gearing, and as such have some effect in acceleration, but a trade off if the quicker acceleration is lower top speeds per gear.
