what, if any, is the difference between a clutch master cylinder and the cylinders used in a dual m/c brake set up?

there was a posting recently in the 4sale section offering all three cylinders and they all looked the same.

is there a difference, aside from bore sizing, perhaps?

Right, just the bore sizes & cost, you'll see in the catalogs that the smaller and cheaper units are usually listed as dual purpose.
