Hi all.......I have a wilwood duel master cylinder pedal box with balance bar and .75 boar cylinders, what i have is a very hard pedal which needs a lot of pressure to stop, any thoughts weather I should go up or down in boar size to get a better pedal...Gordon
The next sizes down are 0.7" and 0.625" Not knowing your setup I would suggest you buy of each and try putting the 0.7" on
the rear and 0.625" on the front and check out the balance and pedal travel.
Normal Lucas-Girling pattern cylinders fit.
As BT said ^^^.
0.7"rear and 0.625" front is the norm. You'll need to adjust the brake balance after though. It'll still feel hard though compared
to a servo braked car.
I'm planning on trying going to 0.625 F+R soon. Just got to find the time and enthusiasm.
Yep the aim is juggle the master cylinder bore sizes to get good front to rear balance with the balance bar set not too far off its' centre position.
Hi all...thanks for the replys,I forgot to give the brake spec.....front brakes are triumph gt6 with ebc green pads and rear are renault 5 turbo with ebc green pads also ( disc's brakes all round ) .......
One thing to keep a eye out for is GT6 P16 calipers can be very prone to seized pistons , much more so than M16.
Any of you guys thought of going down the remote servo route?...... obviously you would either have to fit 2 if you wanted to keep the dual system.
but what about using a single line system? I know it would be scary if a failure occurred but hey all the old sports cars only had single line
brakes.
My Luego has the dual master cylinders and uses a Girling 625 for the 4 pot front brakes and a Girling .70 for the rear Sierra calipers and they its
bloody hard to stop it from high speeds.
I can feel an experiment coming on
Just my opinion
