My 7's rear brake setup, is the same as its donor mk2 escort, rear drums)
from the M/C one pipe to the off side rear cylinder, then a transfer pipe to the near side cylinder, were the only bleed nipple is
Ive always had problems with the offside brake at MOT times, and despite changing /swapping it all over with the near side, still have problems
So, i was thnking of making them both independant, ie one pipe from the M/C to the rear of the car, and a T to split both near and off side wheel
cylinders, and both have bleed nipples
would there be any improvement?
The next step, is to change both wheel cylinders, and what is best, small or large bore? as long as both the same!!
regards
steve
The T piece is a good idea
I would just match the cylinder size you have
If you have an Escort handbrake linkage with the rubber flap thingy mounted on the rear axle it can cause asymetric braking on the rear axlle but
it usually shows up as a poor handbrake on the left rear.
Could it be a corner weight issue ?
