Am I the only one to run my column above scuttle (see Archive pics). Should I reroute lower, with another u/j.
I intend using RV8 eventually, and think it may present a prob in it's current position.

I did that,

I did use 3 UJ thou to get the 'crash angle' right for sva. One at the top, one about 300mm from the rack, and the rubber ford one at the rack. Had to
get a bearing block made up tho.

thought that might have made someone ask!
In the SVA document, it says that the steering shaft must have an angled section in it of between 10 and 30 degrees to stop the direct movement of the
column to the driver in an accident. It also details the need for a sliding joint and a crush section.
Its reasons like that which make me bible thump that you MUST HAVE AN SVA MANUAL. There are far too many little subtle things to screw up on. Imagine
the hassle of having to redesign the steering after a fail.
