Hi
Can anyone tell me what advantages of
inboard coilovers ???
apart that they may not get so dirty ?.
less unsprung weight, looks, better aero (if you think that matters on this kind of car), and probably most importantly, the ability to design the bell crank so that you get whatever rising rate characteristics you want.
Hi
Probably me being a bit dim.
but were not talking about a land rover here.
Caterham don't seem to need it & they are supposed to be
the bees knees. ?
I think they do use it on some of their more recent cars (CSR260 definitely has it)?
I would think though that if the biggest inperfection with the handling of your locost is not having inboard suspension then you're probably
doing pretty well.
Topic done to death.
I think the conclusion always steers round to NO BENIFIT!
My Striker has inboard and looking at some of the arguments against I tend to agree.
Dont loose sleep over it if yours are outboard, if you really know what you are doing and can harness all of the benifits from inboard then maybe
worth it, for 99% of us, its not.
