super lightened westfield rear discs?
CNHSS1 - 1/1/14 at 03:44 PM

who supplies the super-lightened brake discs same as the rear of a Westfield IRS car?

they are 240mm diameter, approx. 59mm 'height' of the bell, approx. 10mm thick, ex mk3/4 escort solid discs iirc.

I thought it was Playskool or fluke, but aren't on either site.

ebay shows ordinary drilled/grooved or super light but other discs (sierra, brisca stock car etc).

I can get a std pair lightened but silly if they are available pre done.

not for road car by the way, before an H&S types get worried ;-)

Cheers in advance

Easily done with a pillar drill?

I wouldn't mess about drilling a disc out like that, the risk if leaving imbalanced and prone to cracking isn't worth the weight saving IMHO.

I would start by contacting the two companies that you have pictures of the products of above

The Sierra ones above are listed at £50 although they could be lighter by being reduced to 10mm - I have seen them taken down to 7mm.

Or get some stock ones do a sketch and have them machined yourself locally.
