Hi all.

Ok I have a sierra LSD diff 7.5" with the 108mm bolt on style ends. I need to get a pair of driveshafts but there seem to be a lot of choices on ebay, different length for left and right which is fine but there are also other lengths for left and fit too..... It's for a Haynes roadster and I am using the rear uprights with brake discs.

I see ebay sells bolt on style shafts, bolt on at both ends, and I assume I then need to also buy the end cv joint to match the bolt on drive shaft ?

ive got 1 bolt on shaft in the garage. my mnr had honda s2000 diff/sierra hubs,so i had a pair of shafts made with s2000 inners/sierra outers. due to the fact they were pretty much cut in half to suit,i have 1 bolt on sierra and 1 s2000 shaft in garage. yours for the price of postage if you want it?

the only ones that fit the 108mm diff are the ones from a 2wd sierra cossie, they also have bigger shafts, hub carriers, wheel bearings and brake discs....

all the other sierra's, Granada's and escorts used the smaller 100mm CV's

if your using disc braked hubs that will mean you'll need the shafts to be the bolt-on type at both ends

(I think some BMW's might use the 108mm CV's too, but I couldn't tell you which ones)

Yes the diff is from a 2wd sierra cossie to That makes sense about the shaft sizes then. Sounds like its going to get more expensive...

if you need me to measure it i will,. i have no idea of length of it

Is your chassis made to accept the 7.5 inch diff?

If not I would sell it on and get a 7 inch diff, be much easier/cheaper to get shafts/hubs etc then as more models used them.

You don't need the extra strength of the 7.5 diff in a kit car.

well I can alter the chassis easily enough to accomodate the diff. Dont really want to sell it as its been refurbished and in like new condition. Hopefully I can sort out the shafts etc..

they are like rocking horse poo these days but if you can find them a pair of stubs for the diff from an early granada 24v cossie will convert your current diff to 100mm CV's - this will give you a few more choices with the read hubs & driveshafts
