Anyone used them?
I'm thinking of using fixed bushes instead of rod ends for simplicity and longevity's sake.
Never liked the idea of poly's due to them breaking wishbones and the stiction caused by using rubber as a bearing.
Seems like poor engineering to me
Read on a few US forums of people rating this Del-a-Lum bushes over poly's. Turns out this is just a trade name for delrin sleeved alumin(i)um
bushes but the theory remains.
Not been able to find any particularly long-term results mind.
Dead cheap and easy to manufacture though, and simpler, stronger wishbones in theory.
I just worry about how they'd last...
If you want longevity then rubber in torsion "Silentbloc" bushes the way to go.
I suspect the vast majority of wish bone failures have been due to the well known crush tube issues. Properly fitted and matched poly bushes and crush tubes allow the wishbone to rotate easily without any "sticktion"

but the whole point of staying away from rubber is it deflecting all over the place, don't want that either!
This is true, but regardless I'll try and get seamless or thick walled steel for the bush area still. It worries me that wishbones would still
fail so easily!
This is true, but regardless I'm still curious if there are 'better' ways of doing it. Just becuase something will do, doesn't
mean it's best. Also read about graphite impregnated poly or something, having less stiction to it
