Replacing Brake Line Banjo's
scootz - 19/2/14 at 04:42 PM

I've bought a set of monobloc brakes for my bike and unfortunately the banjo's on my existing lines are angled and I need straight ones.

Rather than slurging out on a new set of lines, I wondered about changing the banjo's.

Am I right in thinking that I would have to cut the line to remove this banjo? Or is there a way they the come apart?

I'm concerned that if I cut it and replaced, then I may be a little tight for length.

Cheers

They look like there swaged on.

You can cut them off and fit a re usable one with little hassle.

Cheers.

Russ will be my first port of call should I go down the 'complete new lines' route.

Scootz - I can replace the existing unions for a tenner each plus P & P, you would lose around 15mm in length

Great! I reckon there would be enough length in them for that. I'll whip 'em off this weekend and post 'em down.

Will get the rear done also as it needs shortened too!

Cheers Russ!

Brand new custom length ones aren't much more than that, maybe another £5 extra
