really stupid question but regarding brake pipes.... do cortina calipers take a unf brake nut, and sierra drums take a metric one???

Cortina calipers since Mk3 (Cortina) are all metric, as are Sierra. Thread is M10 x 1 (which is unique to Euro brakes).

and www.namrick.co.uk do the male and female components quite cheaply.
