Is this gearbox only fited to Sierras? What year/model? Are al the type 9 boxes with the same gear ratios?

Sierras and Capri Lasers (Laser models were 5 speed)

Capri 2.8 models had a longer input shaft which needs either grinding down or a thicker spacer plate between engine and gearbox. However, the 2.8 gearboxes also had better ratios for seven-style cars

What years Sierras?

82-89, some transits had them too

I think the transits had the gearshift in a different position (much closer to the bellhousing)

Easy way to check which gearbox a Sierra has is the position of reverse -

If it's below 5th (bottom right) then it's an MT75
If it's to the left of first (top left) then it's a Type 9

Granadas used them as well.
