Hi,

Can someone tell me what ball joints the Formula 27 uses please?

I am after the upper and lower, part numbers would be ideal.

Cheers

Liam

I've run into a bit of an issue with the cortina upper ball joints.

As you can see in the picture above the top of the new ball joints is a lot larger in diameter than the old one and due to this they won't fit in the suspension arm.
My first guess is the ball joints have been revised.

Any ideas where I can get the older style ball joints from?

Thanks!

Havnt got a clue to be honest.
Looks like the ball joint has been revised anky car happens to use the older style.
Just trying to find a source of old stock!

i had this problem! chose to leave them until next year - let me know how you get on!

One way would be to make 3 spacers and put longer studs in then lower the platform on your shocks to compensate i had to make offset plates to get mine to self centre for iva

thinking about it i am sure there is enough meat in the rocking arm to grind out to suit the new ball joint

There is the option to mod the suspension arm, however, I'd prefer to find the right ball joints!
