I have decided to go for rear discs on my build, so need my Sierra rear hubs turned down to 134mm so that the shiny new discs will fit.

So, anyone happen to have access to a lathe in the Newcastle area?

Found a willing helper

which kit did you order? the sierra kit to convert sierra drums to wilwood discs or the kit to convert sierra discs to willwood discs.

if you have gone for the disc to disc conversion you dont need to machine the hubs down as i found out after going to all the effort of doing it.

i can do it for you if you get stuck but it wont be until after the 26th as i am stacked out with work at the moment.

i have a video somewhere showing how to set it up correctly to get the run out right, if you dont you will get wheel vibration. basically you have to press the driveshaft end into the hub backwards then chuck it up and centre it with a dial gauge.

Hi Ash

It's the Drum to Disc kit that uses Escort discs (I believe) and the Rally Design Hydra-Mechanical calipers (look like a VW Golf copy to my barely trained eye) linky. Supplied with Ally disc carriers that bolt on.

I have offered up the hubs to the discs and they need turning down to fit inside.

I just whopped my hubs in the three jaw and skimmed enough meat off until it fit. The discs locate on the spigot so I didn't worry too much about using a DTI.
