Regarding the sierra uprights;

A) What size bolt is it that holds the disc on, looks about 41 mm to me?

B) Is the thread opposite I.e. Righty loosey lefty tighty?

C) Do I need to keep the bracket that connects the caliper to the upright, as I sheared a bolt? I plan to buy new calipers, maybe Willwards and wondered if they would use this bit or come with there own.

Iirc the disc is held on by the four wheel bolts and maybe a small securing screw. The large hex in the centre of the hub is just for show, its cast in the hub.

Yes, the disc is only held on by the wheel nuts and a couple of thread washers if they are still there.

The nut would be for holding the bearing together I will imagine.

The disc was just held on by a locking washer on one of the studs.

I want to electrolysis dip the whole upright so need to remove the bearings. Has anyone got any tips?

Remove cover at the back and undo big nut. Press out the hub flange; Will be awkward due to the shape of the hub and will probably bring an inner race with it that you'll have to pull from the flange or split to remove. Press out the bearing from the hub.

For pressing the bearing you'll probably need a hydraulic press. Refit with new bearing.
