Brake fluid reservoir question
Andybarbet - 29/5/14 at 08:14 PM

If the brake fluid reservoir has 2 outlets (to feed my balance bar pedal box with 2 master cylinders) but the tank itself that holds the fluid is just one chamber, is this ok for IVA ?

The reservoir has the sensor in the cap & will fit nicely in my chassis if its ok to use.

Thanks in advance.

Does it have a wall moulded between the outlets? If it's from a tin-top it will probably do it that way and be fine.

Yes it'll be OK for IVA.

Most have an internal divider between the 2 outlets (maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the overall depth) so that if one circuit leaks there there'll still be a small reserve for the other circuit.

Out of interest what is the reservoir off?

Its a focus one, nice shape kind of triangular, 2 nice lugs for mounting to chassis rails too.

Yep, that'll be fine and will pass because it's from a tin-top... Good for type approval so good for IVA. It will have an internal division.
