Dimensions of Cortina rack?
Rorty - 15/11/04 at 04:28 AM

Can anyone please help me with the dimensions of a Mk. III, IV, or V rack?
I need the distance between the balljoint centres and the spacing and distance between rack mount holes.
TIA.

Surely somebody has an old Cortina rack laying around that they could run a tape over for me please? Be your best buddy!

Sorry Rorty, didn't see this last night. I have a Cortina rack that came of my Robin Hood donor Don't know what mark Cortina it's from though. I'll get you the measurements when I get back from work this evening.

Bit tricky to measure, but distance between balljoint centers is 720mm give or take a few mm. (I'm assuming you mean the balljoints at the ends of the rack rather than TREs?)

The distance between the mounting centers is approximately 340mm. I can get the mounting points measured more accurately as I still have the Cortina front subframe. However, it's outside attached to the remains of a Robin Hood wrapped up in a tarpaulin, and it's peeing down so that will have to wait!

Mike, I didn't listen to those gossipers, I think you're a fine chap. Thanks.
