How much driveshaft angle is save
FERRARIST - 20/11/14 at 04:34 PM

Building a mid engined V6, and in order to place engine as low as possible, as you may see driveshaft 10 degrees angled - is that a problem???
Read somewhere that 10 degree is max.
Another question - i'll use Wilwood brake pedal box, with 2 0.75" master cyl for front and rear brakes.......front calipers are 4 pot brembos from Alfa 166, Boxter 986 rear calipers on rear end. Pedal ratio is 6,5/1 - how much brake pedal travel i can expect????......Need to know how much distance from chassis i have to leave.
Thanks.

Drive shaft angle should be fine, I'm at 10 degs on mine and the GT40 guys report that it works fine like that.

As for brakes, brake pedal travel should not be much at all, but their is no substitute for checking in practice with the actual parts

Cheers

I'll leave at least 6-8cm distance with option to increase it.....
