Brake Flexi Hoses Length, and Supplier.

Hello,

Its time to fit the brakes, ordered some brass fittings and pipe from automec, and now I need the flexi hoses.

There are a lot of posts warning of potential problems and SVA failures as a result of using screw type DIY fittings, so i've had a scout about online.
Motoflex lines from

http://www.bsr-aerotek.com/brake3.htm
seem cheap, and look shiny, the site say they are SVA complient. Has anybody used these?

If not, Rally Design do some euroquip braded lines, any good?

What length is required for the front flexi hoses? I'm screwing them directly into the caliper.

Will a kit for a mk2 escort be long/short enough?

Thanks in advance

David

Go to HOSE DIRECT

They make stainless steel braided flexi's to requirements and the fittings are SVA compliant. We used them for our's - they can also coat them with shrinkwrap transparent tube to make them SVA friendly too. The braid is apparently sharp... stupid but relevant.

Their prices are very reasonable...

Trouble with the braid is that it's an excellent file - it'll wear through hard brake lines, wiring, etc.!

Oh yes - I got my hoses made-to-measure from Merlin Motor Sport, with crimped couplings.
