Hopefully some kind soul may be able offer a solution.
Here is the scenario;
I have a Sierra 7.5 lsd with 100mm bolt on flanges, at the upright I have Sierra drum brakes which I wish to retain.
As I understand things, at the upright end Ford use the Trpode joint which is the snag because at the diff I have Lobro.
Is there a cocktail of parts I can use to couple these together?
I seem to remember reading that there may be a Lobro style stub axle used on a Euro 4x4 but are apparently very rare.
I'm quite happy to have the shafts made up.
I look forward to any advice.
Happy new year to all.
Got mine made by GB engineering, although there are other suppliers out there who do custom one piece shafts
Alternatively you could cut and shut two pairs of shafts, my original Stuart Taylor shafts were supplied shortened
using this method, ideally you would turn a stub and socket arrangement on the cut ends ends before welding and then have a
sleeve welded in place over the joint area.
Or you could ditch the ford LSD and put a quaife ATB in its place, they use tripode shafts, thats why i ended up having custom shafts made, as my
uprights are disc/lobro.
