Was re-running the brake pipes on my Coupe, and was planning to top up the fluid when done.
It claims it's silicon fluid,
Fluid
But something made me check.
So added a few drops to some water and it turns out it's standard dot 5.1 fluid.
Saves me from rather a sticky mess !
Can you explain your test and how it detects the difference between a DOT 5 and DOT 5.1 please
Regular brake fluid is higroscopic, so I presume water soluble...
Not done the test, it you leave/spill it on a damp garage floor it goes cloudy/milk, which as said it presumably it mixing with the water.

As people say.
Normal brake fluid mixes with water, Silicon just forms globules.
Drop in water, give it a good shake/stir then leave to stand for a while.
it may be discontinued, but they have a review of it on their site.
indicates its 5.1
