Hi all. I'm treating my next build (vortx mazda) to a shiny set of wilwoods, but there are a few options to go for.
Option 1. Powerlite kit from RD, 270mm vented 1 piece discs.
Option 2. Dynalite kit from freakyparts, 270mm vented, 270mm vented corrado discs.
Option 3. Dynalite kit from the states. 280mm 2 piece discs with wilwood alloy hats.
There's not a great deal in the prices even with shipping and import charges on option 3.
So of the 3 options which would you go for? I suspect there will be a weight saving with option 3 due to alloy centres but may well be negated by the
larger disc.

Fits 13" wheels with 254mm discs. Can't see you need anything bigger than that.
Thanks yeah id seen that. I've got a nice set of lightweight 15s so it's not critical for 13s. I think I'd rather get the rally design set if I were to go for the powerlites to save importing them.
Is the RD kit not the only one one with dustcaps? Or do Dynalites come with them as well?
I thought Corrado discs were 280mm as well.
As far as I have found. Neither the powerlites or the dynalites have dust boots. Only some of the superlites have them (feel free to correct me if
I'm wrong)
Yes you are right the corrado discs are 280mm.
I'm Stewart from FreakyParts
The Wilwood kits without dust seals come with stainless pistons so as long as you give the pistons a clean before pushing them back in when you swap
the pads, you shouldn't have any issues with it.
The weight savings between the cast and 2 piece setup aren't huge on the smaller thin discs like the 280mm setups, but if you're chasing
kgs, every little helps.
The cost difference between the Powerlites and Dynalites isn't a lot, but the pads are larger so, while not offering much difference in
performance between the two, the larger pads in the Dynalites will last longer than the Powerlites.
We can do pretty much any setup you're after, and if you want to import something direct from Wilwood, let me know as we can help with that as
well, or if you want something bespoke, we can also accommodate as we make the brackets and bells in house.
Hi Stewart. you've already been replying to my emails!!
I had looked at importing a wilwood kit, I'll email you with the details.
Cheers
Steve
Thought it might have been you
Still, at least others now know as well!
