Hi All,
My steering column appear to have some play in it so want to re-furb it. Before it goes for its first MOT in 6+ years.
Its currently fitted with one of these (photos are not mine)

and one of these

I plan to do a straight replacement of the bearing, but replace the bulkhead mount with one of these instead. Reason is the column angle to bulkhead
is in my opinion too large for to suit the existing fitting.

Is there anything else I should be replacing/looking at?
Should I consider any other implications of the bulkhead bearing changeout?
nice where can I get one of those?

It would be great if you could do a write up on that modification, that's the next job on my list, along with a quick rack.
I found this guide, but it appears to be a pretty straight forward mod.

Wow, that is simple! Thanks for the link, much appreciated.
As a bit of a follow up to this. Finished this little project over the weekend.
The new bulkhead bearing was dead easy to fit and went in without a problem.
Came across a small issue with the top column bearing where the pre-tensioning spring wasn't making contact with the the inner sleeve. I had to
knock up a plastic spacer on the the lathe to take up the slack. But on the up side while doing it I was able to bring the steering wheel slightly
closer to me, which should help the seating position.
Steering is much smoother now
For top mounting, one of these is ideal Link
