I've been cutting the holes in my side panels for the suspension etc to poke through and trial fitted the suspension to check clearance. I was a bit surprised to only have a very slight amount of downward tilt of the bottom wishbone when the shock is fully extended. It's only about 3deg, does this sound OK? The shocks are the recommended length for a Haynes at 13" open IIRC.
if you have 13" open shocks you need a 1" extension as the original book got it wrong.

Many people just buy 14"open 1.9" shocks, Thats what I have at the front of mine and they fit fine.
If you got them from Rally Design they are pretty good if you want to exchange them.
