Front Hubs - Cortina / Sierra

As I intend to fit Sierra front uprights to my book chassis and book wishbones, will all the angles still be ok?
I am under the impression that all will be the same if I use the insert thing for the top ball joint, all be it sticking out a bit further on each side due to the width of the Sierra hub compared to the Cortina one.

Are you altering the front track to Sierra width? Book top wishbones look like they will give too much positive camber with standard bottom wishbones. You could shorten the top ones or lengthen the bottom, which seems a better idea. Anybody done it already?

Using standard Sierra rear track and whatever will fit at the front.
Looking at it from above, won't the ball joints be in the same plane as the Sierra ones? Isn't it just the hub that sticks out more?

Sorry mate, you can't just fit Sierra uprights to Cortina (book) wishbones- even with top adapter. The BJ holes are in different places- meaning your wishbones will be out.

Darren of GTS put some pictures up recently of the result of having done this (or maybe it was Cortina hubs onto Sierra length wishbones!) but the point is it was completely out.
I'd go with Cortina hubs (lighter anyway) as otherwise I suspect your geometry will be all over the place.

I'd go for Cortina. I might know where there are a pair of uprights and calipers cheap.

Hi G,
Yes - would be very interested.
Using one of my spare LSD's and full 4x4 rear end for the back with the GTS de-dion bar.

Then again, it may be easier for me to use the wide track front end from GTS or MK as I like the stance you get.
Are the MK and GTS bones designed for Sierra uprights?

In case anyone's bored of tennis and wants to know the answer to this then yes- the MK Indy and the GTS wide-track wishbones are designed for Sierra uprights.
