I think it might be Cortina. Anyone know from this pic?
It's surplus to requirements so I'm going to sell it on so would like to advertise it correctly. Thanks muchly.
Oh, thats a MK3 Cortina or a Atlas, hard to say from here. Pity we are so far apart, I would have that off you for my Dutton project
its a atlas axle
Turbosport is a good place to post an Ad the old ford guys would be interested.
Thanks folks, that's ace.
Diff ratio effect asking price i presume?
If it's a Cortina 3 axle, or some Capri's and Escort 2's, then there's a good chance that it's the German equivalent of an
Atlas. They may look the same, but are different.
You'd have to look up the differences, but I seem to remember that the number of bolts on the rear cover differs, which is the easiest to see.
The proper small Atlas is most commonly referred to as the 'Baby Atlas', and desirable to the rally guys and hot rodders.
Cheers,
Nev.

There are three different Atlas axle's, all to do with the width. Because of the brackets on that axle, I believe its a mk3 axle more then an atlas. The post above is right about baby atlas etc. and the flange bolts. If its a good one, will bring you a pretty penny
Thanks folks. Researched some more and the trailing arm setup should mean it's Mk3/4/5 Cortina.
Well spotted
I'll get it off, refurb it and put it up for sale.
We aim to please
