Fuel tank vent
Joshy - 12/3/16 at 09:41 PM

Hi all

I'm having a hard time working out how do let my fuel tank vent air both ways whilst preventing fuel leaks/spillage. I've found this http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/u...breather-valve but I'm wondering if there is a 'locost' way of doing it that is still good for the IVA?

Thanks
Josh

I used this passed IVA a week ago

Put it in a pipe with breather filter on the end.

As above, I used this one too and passed iva (3 years ago) without any issues

Little bit cheaper than car builder https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/roll-over-valve-in-line-with-5-16-8mm-push-on-tails-m-trl88

I used a tank vent from a Corsa (iirc) and wired it to the fuel pump supply. It only opens when the pump is running, which only runs when the engine is running, which has an inertia switch fitted.
