I'm no expert on slicks and I've just bought some used ones off fleabay which are Michelins SC9. They feel quite hard and I'm having
second thoughts using them on the MK rather than R888 for the track.
Thoughts?
My second hand slicks are pretty old and hard, still a lot better than yoko048's on the track once you have a couple of laps to get some heat
into them.
cheap as chips so you can really slam the car into bends and not worry about the cost in rubber just make sure you check carefully for stress
cracks regularly as the additional grip puts a lot more strain on everything.
S9C is the hardest compound in the Michelin range AFAIK. A friend had a set of these for his 205 rally car and could never get any heat into them so were always lacking in grip. I suspect they'd be great on a heavy car and a warm track.

Should you want a bit of track fun with grip on cheap tyres try ACb10's
I have two complete sets in tyre covers looking for new owner.
Message me if you are interested.
