Can anyone tell me if anyone runs them on the front or are they far to wide ?
Far too wide, really.
Even really mental Sevens like the Caterham 620R only run 185 section front tyres (on 6" rims).
Some cars run 6.5" or 7" rims with 195 section fronts, but 8" is definitely OTT for road use.
I have them on mine as I bought a cheap set of 15 inch wheels off a friend to mainly help with the rear aesthetics and grip. I currently have 205s I think on the front, maybe 215s, can't recall off the top of my head. Eitherway, they fit under the arches (GBS Zero) but I'll be looking to come down a width or two soon, aiming for 195 or 205 (if they are in fact 215s) on the front.
Thought so, trying to find wheels with low offset at 6 and 6.5 rare !
I'll keep looking ..
Wallerzero- are they fitted to the car on your blog ? The picture is the front end of the car with wheels up the side of the garage
Team dynamics prorace 2 come in 15x7 and pretty low offsets. think I have something like et10

Not good for the unsprung weight.
I've got to find -8 or -10 , for the rear, front is not to much of a problem (et 10)really don't want to use spacers on the back tho , I've found a mini light copy, but reviews don't seem to good about the product, all seems very limited
How deep are your pockets?
Split rims?
Split pockets!
I did make an inquiry but I can't do that sort of money on rims ....not yet
