Sierra upright dimensions?
Rorty - 20/12/04 at 08:54 PM

I was going through some semi-finished work as part of my anual tidy up and I came across a drawing of a +4+4 round tube Locost with hybrid Cortina/Sierra uprights.
I seem to remember I was doing the uprights at the behest of some people on this forum, but I hit a wall when it came to the dimensions of the Sierra spindle, hub and disc. I don't have any Sierra parts to take measurements from.
Several people sent me the popular white on black CAD drawing of a Sierra upright, but it doesn't show the dimensions necessary to finish the project.
The chassis and (Cortina based) front suspension is complete, but I'm still waiting to receive the Sierra upright info for the hybrid upright.
I'm also in need of the dimensions of the Sierra rear bearing carrier and PCD so I can draw the ears and complete the DeDion axle. I suppose though, one of Darrens DD axles would fit OK.
Can anyone provide the data mentioned so I can wrap this job up?

And the hub

When the hub is assembled the dimension from the inside mounting face of the carrier to the outside face of the hub is 74mm. HTH

I've got copies of the full set of the Ford original drawings, including the 3d cad files on CD.

How much you want to pay? (After all, you do charge for your own drawings.)

Syd.

Doesn't everyone in business expect to get paid for their work?
I don't charge for stuff I've promised to do for free though.
You're a big kind-hearted sort of a bastard Syd, why don't you donate the drawings?

If you need other dimensions let me know. Can't help with front upright dimensions, couldn't garrantee the 4x4 is the same as 2WD.

Many thanks Mix. I'll look at those later.

Can anyone confirm that the Sierra 4X4 hub carrier is the same dimensions as the 2WD carrier?
Also, does anyone know the measurement from hub carrier to hub carrier (external).
Fanally, what is the rear track measurement of the Sierra?
Thanks everyone for your help.

Rear track is 1468mm, (1458 for the estate model)

Sierra rear hub carrier.

I've just realised I posted an incorrect drawing of the above. The correct dimensions are shown in the attachment

I will try and remove the incorrect drawing. My appologies to anyone I've inconveienced.
