Morning.
Looking to make my own split rim wheels.
Want to make four sets to start with.
Have the facility to machine the centres with no issues.
Looking for a manufacturer of the outer rims only.
I assume these are rolled?
Any help would be great.
Jay.
I think most of them use flow formed or spun alloy rims.

Or alternatively give Dermot Healy a call (07703162409 dermothealy@btinternet.com) and he might have some 2nd hand bargains!
Maybe showing a lack of knowledge here, but what are the benefits of split rims over normal rims?
Are they significantly lighter or stronger?
much lighter also easy to change offset and width

Image sell the rims separately.
Mike Barnby of MB Engineering makes great inner outer sections, superlight, good pr8ce and have knurling where the tyre bead sits as often racey tyres
run lower pressures on light cars and can spin on the rims.
Nice bloke to deal with too
Image are good too, tougher sections byt heavier and options of clear anodising.
Also Braid and Revolution
MB engineering sounds good.
Is it this one?
