Hi,
can someone tell me what sort of suspension this is?
Is just a dated coilover fitted to Locosts as an option?
Normal locost "book" setup "unequal length double wishbone with coil over dampers". It has a better lower wishbone design than
book to reduce bending load concentration on the lower bone known to cause lower wishbone failure.
Outboard shocks are not really dated, Caterham have stuck with this configuration for good reasons. Fashion is for inboard, but adds complication and
weight..

Thanks Dan.
I think its the diameter of the spring that threw me. Very large, when compared to aftermarket coilovers.
How would these hold up to track days do you think?
Can't be sure, but it looks like an older car to me.
Coilover shocks may have been a larger Ø back then?

If it has a pin type upper mounting going between two rubber mounts it is probably Triumph Herald or Spitfire
