So, I've been running my car on factory ford esc management for the time being and despite some misfiring on idle/sticky rev issues it ran okay. Soon as it was driven the car went pretty well, I have today however wired up my Nodiz Pro ecu and it now runs like a bag of spanners. Pretty much any throttle input kills the car, I connected the tps and calibrated to see if this would help but it hasn't. The Motorsport electronics page gives a full guide to setting it up but one issue I've found is I can't alter the trigger wheel setting on the ecu and wondering if this is the issue I'm having. The Nodiz ecu seems to be sparking at half time than the old Ford esc stuff was and I'm wondering if that's maybe because its set to the wrong trigger wheel? Anyone else had issues like this before?

I run a Nodiz on my 1800 Zetec on carb's.
It not only worked straight out of the box but also raced strait out of the box, the map was that good.
It was a 4 hour race at Snetterton that I completed with a mate who was running a ST170, also running faultlessly on an 'out of the box'

Are you using a trigger wheel or the standard Crank sensor? it should be set 90 before TDC sounds like its set 90 after like I did with mine there
fore it was 180 degree out. I was able to start again a re position the trigger wheel.

They indeed do work out the box - the trigger change mode was added to the manual and only works on NODIZ delivered in the last 2 weeks....

I'm still using standard Ford flywheel and crank sensor, but it seems to be firing at about half time as opposed to the standard esc stuff hence my thinking that the trigger setting is incorrect. Does this sound like symptoms of incorrect trigger setting or would it simply not run at all if this being the case?
Are you getting spark to all four plugs, the coil pack fires two at a time so if one connection is lost it will be running on two cylinders, or are the two coil pack wires crossed? Just a thought.

sounds like the ecu is set up for Vauxhall trigger wheel

set mine up to Vauxhall trigger wheel using computer been fine but it wont run sierra rev counter
