lower ball joint conversion

I'm thinking about converting my bottom ball joints to rod ends, the pins I need for the conversion ( that go into the bottom of my front struts) are available in 1/2" and 5/8" size, do you guys think both sizes will be OK strength wise.

Hi.
1/2" bore rose-joints usually with 5/8" thread but depends what angle you need on the rose-joint when fitted. Ie if wishbone is at 5 deg to the pin you only have very small amount of angular travel left that may equate to only 1" of wheel movement. Cheapest version of high angular joints are 5/8" bore and thread with an insert to reduce bore to 1/2"

Which conversion kit are you using. ?

Cheers Matt

Hi Matt,

The only ones I can find are sold by a company on fleebay, I was hoping to use 3/4 unf rod ends as that's the thread in the lower arms, but I can't find any with either a 1/2" or 5/8" bore, but as you have said and I didn't think of sleeve spacers might do the job.

As a side point the dampers and springs a had off you are working fantastic
