Bones and bushes frustration

Frustration???

My "locost" supplied bone end eyes are 36mm long and have an internal diameter of 25mm.
What type of bloody bushes were they made for as the only ones that appear to fit are the poly ones that I can buy from "locost".
Even then, the flange of each poly bush is 1mm two thick for the "locost" supplied brackets that are fitted to my chassis.
Do I buy a set of these bushes and file each one down?

Also, I am going to buy a GTS De-dion rear end and am now worried that the trailing arms are going to be far to wide for the "locost" brackets already welded to the rear of my chassis. Will I be better struggling to cut off these rear brackets and use GTS brackets at the rear with GTS bushes?

I wonder if the GTS bushes will fit my "locost" front bones?

Perhaps give GTS a call?

Hi Chaps,

I bought two sets of bushes from Lolocost, (irs rear)
and found that the flanges were all different.

I turned them down on the lathe to make "a set"
and made my chassis brackets to suit.

The correct size for Triumph Herald rubber bushes QH ref number Y419

My tubes are machined to 24mm ID with a 25.5 mm "lead in" at one end to make pressing hone in the vice a bit easier.
