Hi Guys,
I purchased some wheel bearings of you know where, came with a couple of days.
Fitted them in the hub no problem but the shaft wont fit, seems like the bearing is too small inside.
From what I can tell there are only two types and mine is this one:
http://www.burtonpower.com/wheel-brg-kit-r-ford-sierra-cosworth-xr4x4-abs-granada-mk3-brt910.html
This is what I got as an alternative
2x WHEEL BEARING KIT REAR LH + RH FORD SCORPIO MK 1 2 GRANADA 1.8-2.9 85-97
Has the same dimentions.
I dont want to buy the Burton ones if they wont fit either??????
The old bearing is an SKF and has the following number on it:
BT1B328053-Q if that helps?
What do I do now???
From your message it sounds like you ordered one bearing, but were delivered a different bearing - please correct me if I've misunderstood!
If the above is correct then in theory you should be able to have it exchanged for the correct bearing. However if you've already fitted it into
the hub then the seller may not wish (or be obliged) to exchange it.
To source the correct part I'd be inclined to take the old one and a ruler to a motor factors and get some help that way.
Hi ya,
I measured the inside of my old bearing, 41mm as per the advertised bearings. Measured the supplied one and it measures 40mm!

I have raised the issue through their issues form on their website, have pictures just in case.
Order another set from somewhere else but double the price.
