Does someone know (or can measure) if and how much any part (e.g. a spoke) of a rim Team Dynamics 7x15 et45 protrudes outboard the rim channel external border ? I need this info as I have to comply with the rule that the wheel cannot be outside the bodywork profile ( we have this law in Italy, do not know if the same in UK). If you have not exactly the same wheel but something similar it could help anyway. Pictures from the right angle could help as well...

Mine don't protrude at all.

Majority of MK's/mac1's etc run ET37 on Ford running gear.

To CosKev3: I was thinking et45 as it enhables 225/50/15 on the rear without the tyre protruding outboard and does not exceed car width 1680 mm which is written in the car document ( here in Italy this kind of car is very rare and I expect a lot of controls when I will be on the road

What engine/power will you be running?

As a 225 tyre is very big for a seven type car!

Engine is 1.6 ecoboost with SCS Delta ECU and 220 HP.

Honestly I have to say that I like 225 only for aesthetics, i agree that it is not needed technically speaking

A 225 tyre is the max width recommended for a 7 inch wide wheel,so you will have some sidewall bulge on those which won't help you when you are trying to keep it all inside the arches!

205/50 15 are a popular size on lots of Westfield's on the rear,with 195/50 15''s on the front.

A 205 width tyre will sit just about level with the wheel rim,with no sidewall bulge

Yes that's true, with a 225 I expect about 10-12mm protruding each side of the rim, which I considered when I calculated the ET.

If the rim will protrude more than this I will be no more inside the arches...

That was the idea, not completely decided so far

I've not got any pics which show it to well, but these are 7J 15 pro-race 3''s with 195/50 tyres and ET35.

Car Builder Solutions do a stick on trim that can be used to add a few mm the the wing edge, useful in this situation

225 seems a very wide tyre for a 7 type car!

I think mine were 195 on my MK Indy.

mmmmh... a lot of you (with more experience than me on 7 type car) are giving me the same suggestion... maybe I will reconsider and go down to 205/50/15

I had 205/55/13 on my 7 for about 10 years, and thankfully now run 185/60/13
The difference in handling and road holding is brilliant now, as with the 205's it felt very unsecure on the road, and dreadful in the wet, in fact frightening in the wet !!
