Are the corina one the same as the maxi ones. Ie do the sierra hubs still need machining to take them??

AFAIK the maxi ball joints have the same taper as the cortina ones. I believe the old (mk2?) astra ball joints fit the standard sierra tapers though...if you are making your own wishbones that is.

Iv already got some leugo bones. I should be getting a pair of sierra uprights from a mate for a drink. So need maxi ball joints and to get em reemed..
