Hi all
Big thanks for all your input over the weeks answering my strange questions.
So here is my next one.
Im using Sierra front hubs with sierra vented discs and was thinking of changing the calipers to Hispec ones.
So as you know the dealing with RAW are somewhat harder to do than find a unicorn.
They sell a hispec kit for about 145.
Ive noticed Tiger also sell a similar kitfor pretty much the same price but state they are for cortina hubs.
My question is does any one have a site or contact that sells hispec calipers for about that price for sierra hubs??
Also does anyone know if side screens from another brand will fit the striker?
Thanks
hi simon
try burtonpower i have just got a set from them mined you they where for escort hubs but i am sure they do what you are looking for

Some have had problems dealing with them in the past (talking several years ago now) but this time last year they were very helpful in getting some
new pads for my rear (Hi Spec) calipers when I wanted a particle type.
Striker side screens are quite different to others due to the slopping windscreen.
Considered Wilwood instead of HiSpec? Rally Design do a complete front kit for Sierra uprights....
why do you want to 'upgrade'?
the original callipers were quite capable on a car of twice the weight of a striker
edit:
bling would be an acceptable answer ;-)

Ha
Bling is the only reason
The std ones are very capable as they can lock up the front wheels when pressed with passion.
So yes bling is the reason.

And light weight if you want to reduce that
I had m16 calipers on my old striker, 3.9kg each. Think the ultralight 4 is about 1kg each so a saving of 5.8kg a pair. Didn't Colin Chapman say something about add lightness

He did indeed
Unsprung weight is always best reduced
We will see what deals are out there
