Are these useable or ar ethey VERY different to the cortina jobbies? I have a good offer on a pair.

I believe they're very similar to the chevette, which (checks again in garage) are... marginal.
On the chevette, they're front steer (good), but there's two things
- the bottom ball joint is pretty close to the hub carrier. I think the cortina ball joint is a bit lower. Don't think it's a problem
but it's a minor geometry change
- the steering knuckle is low too - the tie rod enters from below and puts the pivot at very close to the bottom swivel
I don't think either are majors.
First one is a bit fiddly
I saw a reasonably good work around for the second one: Drill the taper out, put a bolt through, and use a heim joint (or whatever those ball joint
endy things that people use on suspension instead of poly bushes) on that.

Very usable. And quite a bit lighter than Cortina jobbies too. They used to be the upright of choice for building autograssers...
