Sierra Rear Calipers
JC - 2/8/24 at 01:48 PM

My McSorley has just failed the mot for a leaking rear brake Calipers……using the search function tells me that a rebuild required patience, time and a special tool. I can be a special tool when it comes to patience and time so I’ll probably just get a replacement haha.
Burton Power do an exchange for £95 - anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

Thanks

Ah the Evil-bay!
Unfortunately I’m locked out of my account and they keep trying to send a text to my landline to reset it…..which fails! Tried multiple times with customer ‘service’ and they can’t fix it……..
Maybe I’ll have to make a new account!

These people supplied me a pair of rebuilt Scorpio calipers, maybe they could refurb yours?

Try a local motor factors. I use 3 different ones and they all either have stock of common ones or can get calipers same/next day and prices are pretty keen.

When I built my MK Indy I used Bigg Red to get exchange front brake calipers for my Ford Sierra donor (rather than attempt a rebuild - for the same reason as you).

As I remember:

1. Prices were good
2. Delivery was quick
3. Exchanged calipers worked faultlessly
