Currently using the 2nd edition book.
fig 4.35, page 64
The diagram states the distance between holes/trailing arm centre lines to be 5.75" or 146mm
fig 6.2, page 72
The diagram says that the distace between the trailing arm holes is 135mm - 25mm = 110mm
Correct me if I'm wrong but the trailing arms should be parallel, which means that there is a staggering 36mm difference between the 2.
Which measure ment is correct?
147 is correct
search for a post from Mark Allanson

I think I too, noted the error and posted pictures several months ago...
David.
Thanks.
I fell into that trap and still have the holes to prove it

I did my brackets last weekend and noticed this. I built a jig to position the brackets and align the axle so that all would work as it should. First
time i drilled the jig to the book measurements I could see it was a MILE out! Re-drilled the jig and all's fine.
