Anybody have a guess at the amount of clutch cable travel I need in order to work the clutch properly on my standard escort gearbox

Just been looking at that myself, about 35 - 40mm seems to fully disengage clutch.

Just look at how much the clutch pedal from the escort donor moves when depressed.
