different from xr brakes and a normal 2.0 brakes??
Cause when i put them on my calipers and mount them onto the front hub, there isn't enough from for the 260mm discs!
Thanks alot

They are different. Don't see why the diameter should bve a problem but the offset is different from 4x4 models to non 4x4 models, so the caliper won't line up with the disc.
Is the any brackets or something that im missing, cause the caliper sits way too close to the center of the hub. Cheers
Actually, I thought std sierra discs were 240mm, not 260mm. I may be wrong but that's what the old grey matter is telling me! The XR4x4 ones are 260mm, but the uprights are different, so maybe that's the problem??
jus checked a pic of xr cals and the bit that bolts onto the hub looked like it stuck out more than mine. So i'll go to the scrapper tomoro and see. Did the granada use XR calipers?? Cheers Dev
I don't know I'm afraid, certainly the offset was unique to the 4x4 models, but probably the same as the granada 4x4, but then obviously the
discs will be to suit 5 stud hubs.

Jay, the XR4 discs, as far as i know, are
260 x 24 vented but the offset in the disc
is different between XR4i and XR4x4.
I'm in the same boat where the
disc caliper and upright wont fit together and it appears to be a common hiccup.
The calipers, according to brakeparts.co.uk, are the same part number for all the XR4 cars but
the discs have either a 58mm or
53 mm offset.
I havent got round to getting the correct
discs yet but im assured its no problem.
Hope this helps

Cheers Steve, but i think its the bit that plugs onto the caliper. When its fitted to hub it doesnt leave enough room for the disc.
Instead of there being 260mm there is only 200mm
Instead of pinto checkout this guy Colibriman
Great engines, great prices and even better service

look at my cosworth conversion thread HERE to see what a standard xr4i caliper
carrier (and upright caliper lugs) looks like.

i have a pair of used xr4x4 discs in the garage. cheap to a good home?!
and faces with the same problem(s)
Think that it all depens on the hub you use there you have to stat with choosing the right related parts.
I use a ABS Sierra 2.0 Hub soow
i need 260mm disc, soo i need the bigger pads, soow i need 60mm piston (bigger calipers)
also the 4x4/cosworth are much heavier than the other ones..!!!
