I've got my handbrake working! Now I need to compile a shopping list to get the rest of the braking sytem in place. I have my calipers (Cortina, thanks DavidFJ) and I'll need some brake pipe and master cylinder and associated impedimenta! What master cylinder is best? I have a Mk2 Escort pedal box so I would guess a Mk2 Escort cylinder natch! What have you people been using, what alternatives are there and have I missed anything? Any loosely related comments welcome!
I've just finished a night shift so I'm off to bed now, hoping I will have all the answers by the time I wake up at about lunchtime.

Sierra m/cyl for me.

There are two types I believe- a cast ali one and a black steel one. I have the later- taken from my donor.

I had an escy MkII one on my kit first off, it began leaking and after a new seal kit it began leaking again so i whipped it off and lobbed a sierra one on and the braking was transformed, it really made a big difference.

Go with a sierra one, i have the cast type so cant comment on the steel tubular one but im sure its just as good.

I'm using a Manta GT/E cylinder - mainly because that's what I had lying around. Brakes are brilliant and no compensator was required for SVA

Sierra MC is bigger internal diameter than escort mk2 (so i'm told), but this can be compensated for by moving the MC pivot on the brake pedal nearer the pedals pivot point.
