Greetings all, A question for you, I'm using a sierra steering column and need some ideas on how to mount it?
I've already welded the front mount to the bulkhead(lolocost mount).
All ideas, doodles(for the mount) and drawings needed.
Cheers Dan.
Dan, Ill post a few pictures tomorrow when I'm at work

Have a look on my archive 3rd pic down
Cheers Gents, anymore ideas anyone?

if its anything like the granada column of same vintage, (probably is) it was easy.
I have a double 'frame' for my scuttle. Its a bit like a goalpost. I just welded two lengths of RHS from the front to back 'goalpost' and bolted the 4
mounting points to that. You might have a more minimalist (weight saving!) scuttle, so my method may not be of help. If it is I can send a pic.
Just beware that the mounts need to keep the coumn where it is in the event of a crash trying to force the whole lot towards you instead of deflecting
the steering shaft. Its something SVA looks for.

Cheers Jasper, Don't infringe any copyright laws borrowing your idea do I, they say it's the finest form of flattery.
Thanks again Dan.

Though I'm thinking about re-routing at the moment - column bit close to exhaust (V8)
There may be a couple more pics.
